Our next Philanthropy Dialogue will explore how TPC's grantees and community are improving foster care in Massachusetts.

Join us to hear panelists discuss:

  • The state of local and national foster care
  • Personal experiences - as adoptees and parents - of working within "the system"
  • How recent events, like the state's opiate epidemic, affect nearly 10,000 foster care youth in Massachusetts

Our Panelists are:

Justin Pasquariello, Executive Director, Children's Health Watch

Before joining Children’s HealthWatch, Justin – a former foster child and adoptee – founded and was Executive Director of Silver Lining Mentoring. He also served as a consultant at the Bridgespan Group, a consultant to the Fish Family Foundation, and as a Rappaport Fellow in Legislative Affairs at Massachusetts’ Department of Children and Families. Learn more about Justin's accomplishments.

Colby Swettberg, Chief Executive Officer, Silver Lining Mentoring

After working at The Home for Little Wanderers and managing a group home for LGBTQ teenagers, Colby performed clinical work in adoption and family stabilization team services, facilitated support groups for foster and adoptive families, and provided training and consultation nationwide on sexual orientation and gender identity issues. Read more about Colby's recognition for this work:

Kelley Lane, Executive Director, Sibling Connections

Over the last nine years, Kelley and her husband have fostered over 40 children and in 2012 adopted their daughter. Kelley served as Program Director of Sibling Connections from April 2010 to October 2011, and rejoined as Executive Director in March 2013. Read more about Kelley's accomplishments.

Our Mission

Inspire and enable a community of women to learn, grow, and engage in collective giving to support nonprofit organizations that address systemic inequities impacting individuals and families within the greater Boston area.
