We are pleased to offer the first Dialogue in a series themed “Creating a New Future.” Join Executive Directors Samuel Acevedo, Boston HERC and Bonnie Bertolaet, Science Club for Girls for a discussion about “The Digital Divide.” During the evening, we will address the topic of the existing educational gap and how it has widened during the pandemic, among other inequities in today’s schools.

A sampling of what we’ll train our focus on:

  • Current challenges in delivering educational programs virtually;
  • The technology divide, which is just one of many inequities students face; and
  • How Covid-19 has widened the existing divide in access to opportunity (to enter college, to enter STEM careers)

After hearing speakers from both organizations, we will break into small groups to discuss how issues such as equal access to resources and creating pipelines to higher education for people of color can be accomplished. Because we have some flexibility with our virtual world, we encourage you to extend an invitation to a prospective member or two. All are welcome!

TPC is most grateful for our Lead Corporate Sponsor of Philanthropy Dialogues:
