What is the current status of immigration in Massachusetts?

In today’s volatile political climate, what is happening with immigration? Are the populations of asylum seekers and immigrants shifting? How are the options for and the needs of Massachusetts asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants changing? What can we do?

Speaker Panel:

Mary Murrane, Assistant US Attorney, Department of Justice, District of Massachusetts

Anita Sharma, Executive Director, Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project

Mariam Gas, Executive Director, Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC)

Wish List Items You Can Bring

Both PAIR and RIAC have let us know it would be helpful if those attending the Dialogue could bring the following urgently needed items: diapers (sizes 3 to 5), shampoo, and other personal care products. If easier, they would also be grateful to receive gift cards from Stop & Shop or big box stores, or pre-loaded Charlie Cards ($20 in value). Liaisons will ensure the items are collected and, if necessary, delivered to PAIR and RIAC.

Our Mission

Inspire and enable a community of women to learn, grow, and engage in collective giving to support nonprofit organizations that address systemic inequities impacting individuals and families within the greater Boston area.
