Volunteer Days: BEST Mock Interviews

Join us for another Volunteer Day with
TPC grantee BEST Hospitality Training 

Mock interviews are part of BEST’s Job Seeker Program, in which students attend an Introduction to Hospitality/Housekeeping Pre-Apprenticeship class. These students will be applying for hotel housekeeping positions after graduation. The interviews are meant to simulate a “real” employment interview to help build the students’ confidence and identify additional training opportunities. Interviews will be videotaped so each student will have an opportunity to review their “performance” with his or her career coach. BEST would love for several of us to serve as interviewers.

The interviews will be limited to 10 minutes each, with a variety of questions provided. After each interview, volunteers will have 10 minutes to complete a short form that is meant to provide valuable feedback for career coaches to share with their students.

There are two time slots available on June 6; volunteers are welcome to participate in one or both of the “shifts.” Because this is a job seeker training program, volunteers are asked to wear business casual dress.
